The Dew Top And Dress Pattern By Friday Pattern Company

Only 2 available
The Dew is a simple cowl neck style with big impact! The dress has roomy pockets and a shaped hem. The pockets are sewn flat to the front for maximum carrying capacity without added bulk. The top features an A-line silhouette and subtle high-low hem. Both styles are super comfortable to wear and sew up quickly. You'll want to make this fun pattern over and over again!
Sewing level: Confident beginner

Suggested fabrics: The Dew is designed for knit fabrics. You will need a fabric with at least 25% crosswise stretch. It looks great in jerseys, rib knits, ponte knits, scuba, and more! If you are sewing the dress version, a fabric with a bit of body will hold the shape of the hem nicely.
Fabric requirements: You may need to purchase extra yardage if your fabric has a heavy nap, is directional, striped, or has an obvious repeat.
Dress: 45" (114 cm) wide fabric: 2.7 - 3.5 yd (2.5 - 3.2 m) // 54-60" (137-153 cm) wide fabric: 2 - 3.5 yd (1.8 - 3.2 m).
Top: 45" (114 cm) wide fabric: 1 - 2.25 yd (0.9 - 2.1 m) // 54-60" (137-153 cm) wide fabric: 1 - 1.75 yd (0.9 - 1.6 m).
Sizing: XS – 7X (approx. UK 6 – 34, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer's size chart and finished garment measurements.
The pattern was drafted using sample measurements for a height of 5'6" (168 cm).
Notions: Stretch sewing machine needle // Optional: walking foot (a walking foot can make it easier to sew with slippery knits).
